MASADA AND THE DEAD SEA

We will drive towards the Dead Sea basin and stop on the way at the famous ‘sea level’ point to take pictures. On our way we will encounter some fascinating local phenomena, and we’ll have the opportunity to discuss the following issues at length: the Israeli Palestinian conflict, the Good Samaritan parable, the geological formation of the area, and more.   

 

Afterwards we will visit the desert Oasis of Ein Gedi for a short and beautiful nature hike. We will then drive to the world's most famous desert fortress of Masada. We will ascend to Masada via the cable car or the snake path. From there, we will drive to one of the beaches of the Dead Sea for a relaxing afternoon.
